We put great value in preserving the environment and maintaining New Zealand’s clean and green tradition for the benefit of future generations. QFS is continually investing in ways to reduce impacts on the environment. We proactively recycle and incorporate waste reduction methods to all our production processes. All QFS products are sourced from non-genetically modified ingredients.
We are currently working on an energy and waste management project to ensure that we continually monitor and manage our impact on the environment.
Our Environmental Management Policy is:
General: QFS New Zealand is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner, striving to achieve world class environmental standards. We apply an Environmental Management System to reduce potential environmental impacts.
Laws: We undertake responsible compliance with all local environmental laws, permits and regulations. Where no local law exists we will use a best practice model as a guideline when using available levels of technology and resources.
Management: Wherever our operations impact on the environment, we will initiate and apply effective environmental systems (including resources and education) to promote continual improvement.
Stakeholders: We will liaise with community representatives, government, industry and other interested parties about matters arising from environmental issues.
